Why You Should Use Synthetic Oil

Synthetic Oils are not just for high-performance vehicles any more. They are becoming used more and more in mainstream vehicles.

It is no secret that synthetic oils cost more, and while using regular oil is not going to damage your vehicle, the benefits of using a full synthetic oil far outweigh the cost.

The benefits include:

• Changing the oil less often. Synthetic oil breaks down at a significantly lower rate. While regular oil should be changed every 3 to 5,000 miles, some fully synthetic oil could last up to 10 or 15,000 miles.
• Synthetic oil has a lower viscosity. This means that the oil can flow through the engine faster and help the fuel effenciency of the vehicle.
• The lower viscosity helps reduce engine wear, specifically when first starting up the vehicle in frigid weather.

Even though synthetic oils hold up better and for longer, regular oil changes are still very important. Depending n how much you drive, this could be anywhere from 6 months to a year.
